A Wellness Pavilion, this is the latest project in which Cifre Cerámica materials have participated. Iris van Casteren is the interior architect in charge of the design of Poolhouse V and has relied on the experience of Borremans, Cifre Cerámica’s distributor, to decorate its interior.
This pool house demonstrates the relevance of ceramics in creating functional spaces without compromising design or style. Poolhouse V is a project located in Hoogstraten, Belgium, where the quality of the materials is more important than ever: not only are they exposed to continuous use, but they must also withstand the humidity and heat of a relaxation area that also contains a sauna.
Wood not only conveys warmth, it also contributes to creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Wood design tiles that reproduce natural textures are an ideal sustainable solution to incorporate both aspects with all the benefits of ceramics.
In this project, the Vermont series (Woodmotion collection) has been chosen in its Oak version as flooring for the living area. And it has been chosen both for its charming veins and for its easy maintenance.
For the exterior of the sauna, natural design has also been chosen, with the Sahara series, inspired by the black Tunisian marble of Jebel Aziz, as cladding. In this case, the piece selected was the Noir Mat version in XLife format. This series achieves, on the one hand, an overwhelming result while at the same time harmonising with the nature that surrounds this project.
The large porcelain format has played a very important role in Poolhouse V with Sahara Noir Mat. It not only reduces joints to a minimum, but at the same time creates a visual effect of continuity that is essential in relaxing spaces where comfort is essential.
