Argenta Group has formalised the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Mercury Cerámica SL. The family-owned company, headquartered in Onda, specialises in the manufacture of small-format floor and wall tiles. Over more than 30 years in the ceramic sector, Mercury has earned a solid reputation for the technical quality and aesthetic versatility of its surfaces.

This strategic transaction forms part of the Group’s expansion plan and further strengthens the small-format segment within its broad ceramic portfolio. It also consolidates Argenta’s standing as one of Europe’s leading ceramic references. By responding to rising global demand with a robust production structure, the deal enhances the Group’s long-term competitiveness. Under the Argenta Cerámica, Cifre Cerámica, Azuvi and Zenon brands, Argenta already offers one of the most extensive and versatile catalogues of ceramic surfaces and solutions, underpinned by contemporary aesthetics, design excellence and uncompromising quality.

Commitment to small format.

The investment in additional small-format tile capacity reinforces Brick&More—Cifre Cerámica’s specialist brand in this category. In recent years, Brick&More has consolidated its reputation in key markets such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy and Spain. The new capacity will enable the brand to strengthen and expand its presence across these major international markets.

Production capacity and technical specialisation

Integrating Mercury Cerámica represents a significant qualitative leap that supports Argenta Group’s business strategy. It broadens the product catalogue with in-house manufacturing capability and secures growth in high-value added lines. At the same time, it optimises and diversifies the Group’s industrial footprint while safeguarding a plant with deep technical expertise.

Over the coming months, the integration of Mercury Cerámica SL into Argenta Group’s industrial structure will proceed gradually, ensuring operational continuity and protecting employment. Plans include developing new product lines and investing in innovation and sustainability.
